| Superb Heat Treatment Capability | In its raw supplied state, it is annealed and fully machine-ready. Once heated to 770°C–780°C and oil/water quenched, it hardens up to an extreme 64 HRC, making it exceptionally wear-resistant. |
| Poor Weldability | Because the carbon content is exceptionally high, do not attempt to weld this steel, as it will instantly crack and undergo structural failure. |
